Peter J. Mulry Foundation Free Citywide Baseball Clinic and Life Skills Training
The Foundation offers a free city-wide baseball/softball clinic, which has become our signature event, every January where children learn life skills through sports. We’ve launched our first clinic at Tampa Catholic on February 2, 2013, and the event has been held the past five years with 300 plus boys and girls and is mutually considered to be one of the best that Tampa Bay has ever seen. We also do four “Stars of the Future” programs with the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation over the summer
Life Skills Sports Leadership Seminar
This annual event brings together parents, teachers, coaches, administrators, and kids. The program is designed to encourage parents and teachers to engage our youth to become better citizens & leaders in our society. Parents and Teachers that have exemplified Leadership Skills and Life Skills by mentoring the next great generation will be recognized.
Stars on Wheels Coaches Clinic
Offering several coaches clinics aimed at multiplying the capacity of local coaches so that the foundation’s philosophy of intertwining life skills instruction with the elite teaching of baseball and softball fundamentals spreads exponentially throughout the region. We believe that our investment in local coaches can lead to a culture shift back to baseball being played “the right way”- a return to team-orientated play, strong sportsmanship, and the ability to execute situational baseball.
The Peter J. Mulry Foundation and Pete himself is committed to speaking to groups of all sizes throughout the Tampa Bay area. He is an outstanding public speaker and his messages are on point. Contact us if you have an interest in having him speak to your school, business, or social organization.
This program is designed to encourage parents and children to engage in becoming better citizens and leaders in our society. It will also serve as one of our scholarship and mentoring principles in our 100 men/women program.
